NFC-Enabled Device Model

The Challenge

Ultrasound device sales typically happen through face-to-face presentations that take place in physical showrooms. This is where medical professionals can get first-hand experience scanning with a chosen model, learn about the technical specs, and see the device up close. Engaging prospects from a world away and gaining trust of professionals up to their necks in patient care is no easy task. A blend of curiosity and immersion is a secret sauce for a successful product presentation.

Our Concept

Knowing the industry ins and outs, we proposed creating a suite of virtual and physical assets to increase the product exploration accessibility, brand engagement, and customer loyalty.

VR-enabled immersive ultrasound showrooms allow prospects to browse the Versana product range, explore and compare different models, and discover a range of unique features–all at the comfort of their own home or office.

Interactive product brochures with AR video overlay help build customer trust for VScan Extend, a pocket-size ultrasound system. A handy 3D desktop gadget strengthens the exploration experience with a direct exposure and more relevant product insights.

Versana Virtual Showroom

We started by preparing an animated version of a conference booth to build an immersive product exploration journey for the Versana product family. We gathered all client resources to create a VR engine, developing a 3D background to simulate the actual sizes and shapes of the devices. The showroom provided a 360-degree overview, allowing multiple users to view the product range from all sides.

Key Features:

  • Virtual showroom accessible via VR headset or Internet.
  • 360-degree product views with detailed descriptions in six languages.
  • Self-guided exploration of product features at users’ own pace.
  • Ready to receive various content types, including audio, 3D objects, and video.

AR-Enabled Product Brochure

To come up with an out-of-the-box way to promote VScan Extend, we engaged in brainstorming and interviewing the client to gain insights into the product market perception. The product miniature size led to doubts about its imaging quality among ultrasound professionals. Our solution was to create a real-size mockup of the product for in-person presentations, enhanced with an AR video overlay.

The brochure included case studies of real users (doctors) describing life cases, proving the product quality. We also integrated a fun, non-digital activity—a filter allowing users to see the correct diagnosis, differentiating between serious conditions requiring hospitalisation and minor issues.

Key Features:

  • Real-size mockup of the Vscan Extend.
  • AR video overlay with real clinical clips.
  • Case studies of real doctors and life cases.
  • Interactive filter activity for diagnosis differentiation.

GE Vscan Air NFC Device: A Tangible Digital Experience

To provide prospects with a near-lifelike product experience, we created a 1:1 model of the Vscan Air handheld ultrasound device. Replicating the product exact measurements and weight, the model shows medical professionals how ergonomic and easy to use the product is. The devices includes an NFC sticker that, when held next to a phone, automatically invites users to visit the Vscan.rocks website. A grippy desktop gadget that works as a pencil eraser, it also drove traffic to the product website.
